Design/Build Teams
- CAD Team:
The CAD team uses Computer Aided Design
programs such as Autodesk Inventor to completely design our competition
robot before construction of the robot
begins.
- Drivebase Team:
This team builds and tests
the base and drive system of the competition
robot.
- Collector/Hopper:
Builds the ball collecting mechanism that will
be incorporated into the competition
robot.
- Shooter:
Builds the shooting mechanism that will shoot balls in the baskets.
- Climber:
Builds the mechanism for climbing the pyramid.
- Electrical Team:
This team creates the electrical
connections of the competition robot
and tests these connections with their
corresponding components. They ensure that
all connections are following the FRC
safety rules.
- Safety Captain:
The Safety Captain ensures that everyone
working in the shop or on the robot is
acting safely.
- Programming Team:
Programming is responsible for making
the robot actually respond to the commands
that the driver inputs. They must design,
construct, and test their code.
- Practice Field:
This team builds the practice field each season which
we will use to practice with our robot and invite other teams to practice also.
- Competition Pit:
This team designs and builds the pit we will bring
to competitions, including graphics and displays.
Systems Integration Team:
The Systems Integration Team (SIT) performs
tasks and studies necessary to develop and
coordinate robot design across the programming,
design and build teams. The Systems Integration Team also is responsible for the Business
Plan and its execution. Our Business Plan and
other documents can be found in the Skunk
Zone.
Marketing Team:

The
pit crew is a team that has the
capability of repairing any system within
the robot in a quick amount of time without
[many] mistakes or [much] difficulty.
- Scouting:
This team collects data on the performance
of robots at competition to compile into
a database. This database is used by our
team and shared with other teams at the competition.
- Drivers and Operators:
Drivers and operators for the robot need
to be completely prepared and skilled in
the ways of robot operations.
