The team puts on a wonderful dinner and auction
that brings in most of our fundraising dollars
for the year. Our event has grown to over 200
diners and everyone has a great time. The dessert
auction is very fun as people outbid each other
for the delicious desserts.
Our team raised money by selling Butterbraid
pastries before the holiday break. The kids were
able to raise over $1000 for their individual
accounts.
Each team member sends
out letters describing our team and the benefits
of being on the team. Friends, family members
and business owners then respond with generous
donations to help the students meet their individual
goals.
Each spring the team holds
a rummage sale to raise money for the team and
to help our families recycle unwanted items.
The students help set up and breakdown the sale
as well as handle sales throughout the day.
We set up tables and sell
pizza, snacks and drinks to our team and visiting
teams during events at our school. A nice win/win
situation since there usually is not enough time
to leave the campus to get food during break
times.
